We are back with another round of Money Man for your viewing pleasure! Just when you thought that the money flow couldn’t get any more extravagant we bring you beautiful, green, mountainous landscapes decorated with streams of cash. You saw him in the dessert and a small town, now the Money Man is back with a hankering for a “Mountain Drive”.

For this spot we thought “what better way to capture the look and feel of a drive through the mountains than with a combination of scenic aerial footage and a camera mounted on the Money Man’s bike to bring the viewer along for the ride.” We hope you feel the same way! Decide for yourself below, on Vimeo, YouTube, the Work, or on our Facebook page.

PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release

THE MONEY MAN COMETH-Part II

Second TV spot of the Money Man Campaign is Now Airing.

BALTIMORE, MD (August 16, 2012) – The recently released Money Man TV spot is the second of the campaign featuring GEICO’s newest ad character. In this spot, the Money Man is enjoying a day of boating in his custom painted speedboat while spreading money into the hands of other water sport enthusiasts.

DCP Productions created the “Money Man,” GEICO’s newest ad character and the TV ad campaign. The premise of the campaign is that “you’re not made of money, so don’t overpay for insurance.”

The Money Man campaign is the most recent of many TV ad campaigns created and produced by DCP for GEICO. The first ad of the campaign, in which the Money Man character is introduced on a motorcycle in the desert, began airing in late June.

Don Cherel, DCP’s owner, creates, produces, and directs all of the TV ads for their clients. Don noted, “Bringing the Money Man to life was a creative challenge, but once he appeared as we had imagined, we knew that the character and the campaign had unlimited potential for GEICO”.

DCP Productions, headquartered in the Canton area of Baltimore, MD, is a media content creation firm that creates and produces national, regional and local TV and radio campaigns, digital outdoor ads, Internet and print ads, and original music.

Chances are you’re not made of money. The all-new “Money Man” character from GEICO is, and he’s rolling out the new campaign created and produced by DCP.

Check out the behind the scenes footage from the “Made of Money – Gas” shoot with director, Don Cherel, as he explains the reasoning behind the use of High Dynamic Range (HDR) in the Money Man campaign and also how HDR technology mimics the way the human eye processes images. Introducing the Money Man to viewers and giving life to an age-old idiom presented an exciting challenge for DCP.

Don Cherel’s selection of the Money Man talent was based on the actor’s ability to convey the confident mannerisms of the character and also operate all the vehicles in the different spots of the campaign. Don noted, “Our actor understood the overall bravado that we were going for with the Money Man, and he was able to deliver it repeatedly throughout our 16-hour days. He’s an impressive talent and I’m glad we found him.”

Stay tuned as DCP continues to create and produce exciting campaigns.
